Emkarate RL 32H

Emkarate RL 32H is an ISO VG 32 synthetic polyolester (POE) lubricant formulated specifically for refrigeration and air-conditioning compressors using HFC refrigerants. The VG 32 grade is the approval leader for scroll and small reciprocating compressors — including the Danfoss Maneurop SZ/MTZ class widely installed across India.

The Emkarate RL family is the most OEM-approved, most recognized POE line in the market — more than one billion compressors worldwide have been factory-filled with Emkarate RL. It provides effective wear protection for steel and aluminium surfaces, is suitable for both initial fill and service fill, and its combination of low-temperature characteristics with chemical and thermal stability supports a wide operating temperature range.

The number in the name is the ISO viscosity grade, and that is what you match. We stock RL 32H (scroll and small reciprocating — R-410A air conditioning, R-134a and R-404A commercial plant), RL 68H (the default mid-viscosity service grade for reciprocating and screw), RL 100H (heavy reciprocating and screw) and RL 170H (screw-compressor duty). Read the grade off the compressor nameplate or the OEM service manual — not off the refrigerant.

The wider Emkarate range also includes OEM-specific variants beyond the H grades, called out by some compressor manufacturers for factory fill. If your compressor manual names an exact designation, send it to us and we will confirm availability rather than substitute a nearby grade.

Do not substitute across lubricant families. POE is not interchangeable with mineral oil (R-22, R-12 plant), with alkylbenzene, or with the PAG oils used in automotive air conditioning. Mixing them, or topping up an HFC compressor with whatever is on the van, is one of the most common causes of premature compressor failure we see.

Handle POE as a moisture-sensitive product. It draws water out of the air far faster than mineral oil, and that moisture turns into acid inside a running system. Keep the pack sealed until the moment of charging, use an opened container promptly, never decant into an open jug, and fit a fresh filter drier with every oil change.

Order RL 32H when a scroll or small semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor needs a service fill or top-up, when commissioning new R-410A or R-134a plant, or after a burnout clean-up where both charge and oil are being replaced — it is the single most widely called-for POE grade in Indian AC and commercial refrigeration service.
