Valves & Regulators

The Danfoss KVP is an evaporator pressure regulator installed in the suction line after the evaporator.

The Danfoss KVP is an evaporator pressure regulator installed in the suction line after the evaporator. It maintains a constant minimum evaporating pressure — and therefore a minimum evaporating temperature — regardless of falling suction pressure elsewhere in the system. This is essential in multi-evaporator installations where different evaporators must run at different temperatures on a common compressor, and in applications where product must be protected against freezing or dehumidification.

Rated and extended capacities for KVP valves are calculated with Danfoss's Coolselector®2 engine to ARI standards, giving procurement engineers reliable selection data.

Constant minimum evaporating pressure

maintained independent of system suction pressure

Multi-temperature evaporator staging

enables multiple evaporators at different temperatures on one compressor

Freezing and frosting protection

protects against product freezing and coil frosting

Effective pulsation damping

for long service life
