The Danfoss KVC is a hot gas bypass regulator applied for adapting compressor capacity to the actual evaporator load. Part of the KV family of mechanical regulating valves, the KVC bypasses hot discharge gas to the low-pressure side when suction pressure falls below the set value, maintaining a minimum suction pressure and preventing excessively low evaporating temperatures during part-load operation.
Where the CPCE regulates with direct suction-line reference, the KVC provides a simpler, compact bypass solution widely used in commercial refrigeration and smaller industrial plants.
