Danfoss T2 / TE2 Series

Danfoss T2 and TE2 thermostatic expansion valves regulate the injection of liquid refrigerant into evaporators, controlled by refrigerant superheat. They are especially suitable for liquid injection in "dry" evaporators where superheat at the evaporator outlet is proportional to evaporator load — the workhorse configuration in food retail and commercial refrigeration.

The defining feature is the interchangeable orifice assembly: one valve body accepts the full range of orifice inserts, covering all refrigerants and evaporating temperature ranges. This means easier stocking, easy capacity matching, and better serviceability — a single body plus a set of orifices replaces an inventory of fixed valves. T2 valves have internal pressure equalization; TE2 valves have external equalization (always required on systems with liquid distributors).
