Valves & Regulators

Danfoss TEA thermostatic expansion valves regulate the injection of liquid ammonia (R717) into evaporators, controlled by refrigerant superheat.

Danfoss TEA thermostatic expansion valves regulate the injection of liquid ammonia (R717) into evaporators, controlled by refrigerant superheat. They are especially suitable for liquid injection in dry evaporators where outlet superheat follows evaporator load proportionally — the standard configuration in industrial ammonia plants.

TEA valves feature interchangeable orifice assemblies and interchangeable thermostatic elements, with external pressure equalization as standard. The wide temperature range of −50 to +30 °C covers both freezing and refrigeration duty in one series.
