Danfoss TEAT valves are thermostatic injection valves for ammonia (R717) systems, principally used as desuperheating valves: they inject liquid ammonia into hot discharge gas to control its temperature — for example, cooling compressor discharge gas ahead of oil separators, heat exchangers, or two-stage intercooling duty. The valve is controlled by a thermostatic element responding to the temperature at its sensor location.

The TEAT shares the ammonia parts platform with the TEA family — orifice assemblies are interchangeable across TEAQ / TEA / TEVA / TEAT within a frame size — simplifying stocking and service for industrial ammonia plants.
