Mafron R-22

Mafron R-22 is the HCFC refrigerant (chlorodifluoromethane) that powered a generation of Indian air conditioning and refrigeration — and an enormous installed base of R-22 plant is still running today. That is precisely the commercial reality this product serves: maintenance and service of existing legacy installations. Cold rooms, ducted AC plants, process chillers, and packaged units built around R-22 need genuine, full-specification gas to keep running until their planned end of life — not grey-market cylinders of uncertain composition that destroy compressors.

As an HCFC, R-22 is under phase-out in India per the Montreal Protocol schedule (servicing tail permitted). Mafron R-22 from NFIL — India's original refrigerant manufacturer since 1967 — is supplied strictly for servicing existing equipment, with AHRI 700 purity and certificates of analysis available.
