Mafron R-407C is a zeotropic HFC blend of R-32 (23%), R-125 (25%), and R-134a (52%), engineered to match R-22 operating pressures closely — making it the established retrofit path for existing R-22 air conditioning and refrigeration equipment where full replacement isn't economical. Zero ODP, non-flammable, ASHRAE Class A1.
The engineering caveat that separates a professional supplier from a cylinder shop: R-407C is a zeotropic blend with real temperature glide (~5 K). It must be charged as liquid, fractionates on leakage (top-up practice matters), and requires a POE oil changeout when retrofitting from mineral-oil R-22 systems.
