Danfoss CPCE Series

The Danfoss CPCE is a hot gas bypass regulator used to adapt compressor capacity to actual evaporator load. When system load falls, the CPCE injects hot discharge gas into the low-pressure side, preventing suction pressure — and therefore evaporating temperature — from dropping too low.

The CPCE offers first-class control accuracy with direct connection to the system suction line, so hot gas injection is regulated independent of evaporator pressure drop. Injection should be carried out through a Danfoss LG liquid-gas mixer, which homogeneously mixes the injected hot gas with liquid refrigerant from the expansion valve, preventing high suction superheat.
