Henry V-Series / VS-Series

Henry V-Series vibration eliminators absorb compressor-induced vibration in the suction and discharge lines of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, protecting pipework, joints, and system components from fatigue failure. Construction is a deep-pitch corrugated stainless steel hose within a stainless steel braid, terminated in copper tube ends brazed with high-temperature alloy and reinforced with stainless ferrules — brazing directly into copper line sets without adapters.

The VS-Series builds on the proven V-Series design in all-stainless, TIG-welded construction: no wet-ragging needed during installation, and higher maximum working pressures. For any plant where a compressor transmits vibration into rigid pipe — which is every plant — an eliminator per line is the cheapest insurance against cracked joints and refrigerant loss.

How the part number works: the number is simply the series letter plus the line size — V-size for the copper-ended series, VS-size for the all-stainless series. So a 7/8" suction line takes a V-7/8 or VS-7/8. Order by the outside diameter of the pipe it is going into, not by compressor tonnage.

Inch sizes (both series): 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8, 1-1/8, 1-3/8, 1-5/8, 2-1/8, 2-5/8, 3-1/8, 3-5/8 and 4-1/8. In Indian service work 1/2, 5/8, 7/8, 1-1/8 and 1-3/8 cover the great majority of packaged chillers, cold room condensing units and DX plant — these are the sizes worth holding on the shelf.

Metric sizes: the V-Series runs 6M to 108M including the odd sizes 18M, 67M and 80M; the metric VS-Series range does not include 18M, 67M or 80M. If your drawing calls a metric size in that group, it has to be a V-Series or a re-sized joint — tell us and we will confirm before you order.

One certification difference worth knowing: UL 207 listing applies to the V-Series. If your specification or client audit calls for a UL-listed pressure-containing component, specify V, not VS.

Fit a vibration eliminator when pipework near the compressor is cracking at brazed joints, when a reciprocating or screw compressor is shaking the header, when noise is transmitting through the building structure, or simply as standard practice on every new suction and discharge line — it is a low-cost part that prevents a refrigerant-loss failure.
