Mafron R-134a is a single-component HFC refrigerant (1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane) — the global workhorse for medium- and high-temperature cooling and the proven replacement for R-12. Colourless, non-flammable, and low in toxicity, it carries ASHRAE safety classification A1 (lowest toxicity, no flame propagation) with zero ozone depletion potential.
The Mafron® brand belongs to Navin Fluorine International Ltd. (NFIL), the company that introduced refrigerant manufacturing to India in 1967 at Surat, Gujarat.
